Privacy policy

Moobo Hardware Unip. Lda designs, engineers and manufactures interactive kiosks and digital hardware. We are the controller of the personal data described here.

This policy covers the website at moobo.pt. It explains what we collect when you use it, why, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. It does not cover data processed under a signed contract with a client or supplier, which is governed by that agreement.

When you send us an enquiry through a form on this site, we receive:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number, if you choose to give it
• The product or subject the enquiry came from
• Whatever you write in the project brief

Our servers also record standard technical information for every request, such as the IP address, the browser and the pages visited. This is used to keep the site running and to detect abuse.

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not profile visitors or take automated decisions about them.

For enquiries, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, and, where you are asking for a quote, the steps taken at your request before entering a contract. For technical logs, the basis is our legitimate interest in operating the site securely.

Enquiries are kept for up to 3 years from the last contact, so that we can follow up and keep a record of what was discussed. Where an enquiry becomes a project, the data is kept for as long as the commercial relationship and the applicable accounting and tax rules require. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for marketing. We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Resend, which delivers the enquiry from the website form to our inbox.
• Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces used on the site. Loading them sends your IP address to Google.

Some of these providers operate outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Under the GDPR you can ask us to:

• Confirm what data we hold about you and give you a copy
• Correct anything inaccurate or incomplete
• Delete it, where we have no overriding reason to keep it
• Restrict how we use it while a request is being resolved
• Provide it in a portable format
• Stop processing based on legitimate interest, by objecting to it

Write to info@moobo.pt and we will answer within one month. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Portuguese supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), at cnpd.pt.

The site is served over HTTPS and access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect what we hold.

If this policy changes, the revised version is published on this page with a new date at the top.
